Later in 2018, Orly (Sud) in its entirety (first and second phases) was greeted by the Museums of Châteauroux in the Indre County, at the Couvent des Cordeliers' Galleries.
This exhibition, one of the best in my artistic career, took place thanks to the friendship, genuine interest in helping people and interpersonal skills of my friend Pierre-Marie Audebert and his wife Françoise Audebert. In 2015, Pierre-Marie did not only facilitate contact with the Châteauroux City Hall's Head of Culture Sébastien Rahon, who then diligently supported to the Mayor Gil Avérous our exhibition project in his city. He also succeeded into getting Regional Television networks to give media coverage to the exhibition. Without him, these TV reports simply would not exist. Consequently, I owe him not only my exhibition in Châteauroux (as the one at the Château d’Ars Galleries in 2009, under the benevolent leadership of Nicolas Forissier, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Parliament Member and Mayor of the city of La Châtre), but I also owe to Pierre-Marie Audebert these filmed testimonies of my Châteauroux exhibition, namely the France 3 beautiful report and Vincent Billy's heartful and superb video for Bip TV.
Regarding the Museums of Châteauroux, it is also fair to stress the indispensable support of Sébastien Rahon and the agreement given by Mayor Gil Avérous, without whom this exhibition would obviously not have taken place -needless to say. And I will not forget here Michèle Naturel, Director of the Châteauroux Museums, and the quality of our cultural exchanges during our three months collaboration. I also remember Camille Girard, Director of the L’Apollo theater, who organized at the initiative of Michèle Naturel a screening of The Thomas Crown Affair movie by Norman Jewison (a source of inspiration for a polyptych of the same name belonging to the second phase of my Orly (Sud) series), followed by a public debate at the end of the projection with the audience.
