Noting a few years later that the corpse still quivered, Time had then proposed an answer in a form of questioning again in its December 26, 1969 issue (Is God coming back to life?). The tumultuous 70s brought the response. These years of great upheaval of values ​​and traditions, achieving the disintegration of optimistic Modernity, simultaneously signed the return of conservative religious forces (the advent of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a totalitarian theocratical regime being one of the key symbols of this dark return). The 70s would be the decade which hatched also the career of Patti Smith with the release of Horses in 1975... So if it is commonly admitted that Patti Smith was a precursor of American Punk Rock -and rightly so-, perhaps should it also be considered that the New York-based poet also invented the Bible Rock movement...

The last piece of the puzzle coming together, time had come for the little boy Peter Reich to run to his father under the stars in the Blue Fields at night. It seemed right, in my mirrored construction of correspondences between Birdland and The Birds, that in my paintings the boy Peter Reich passed the baton to another orphan, Mitch Brenner in The Birds... In search of his father, Mitch's symbolical run through the fields (his path of life), leads the boy to manhood. He then rises to the heavens to find the Tutelary Figure back to life, in what became my personal vision of Pattis Smith's Birdland with the paintings I made.

With this line in Birdland, Patti Smith is referring apparently to certain sections in A Book of Dreams. The movie mentioned by Reich in his book is a cartoon in this case, but it could also refer by extension to the movie W.R: The Mysteries of the Organism that the yugoslavian filmmaker Dušan Makavejev made about Wilhelm Reich in 1971, a production about which Peter Reich was consulted. This verse also revealed to be key in my associative approach between Hitchcock's work and that of Patti Smith. I am helium raven and this movie is mine.

Thus, music did come together with cinema. And in my paintings, cinema and music then merged into my painting.
