A Ausência (The Absence) is a four paintings polyptych, created in the context of the Brasilia. Half a Century of the Capital of Brazil exhibition, which was held in Paris from April 27th to June 30th of 2013, at the Espace Niemeyer in Paris.
A Ausência (The Absence) is a symbolic corpus of work, achieved in memory of the great late Oscar Niemeyer (1907-2012). This polyptych encapsulates the architect's life through the evocation of the Copacabana studio where he lived and worked, and his masterpiece -the city of Brasilia. Here, the capital of Brazil is evoked through its emblematic building's top crown, eg the Metropolitan Cathedral.
